Whipping my sorry ass back into shape.

OK Guys!!! this it it!

I have had it with my obese self and have decided for the umpteenth time to get back in shape. I am 28 years and weigh a whooping 100Kgs in this sorry form that I call my body. What's the motivation you ask - well, I have a class reunion coming up in less than 45 days and need to whip my ass back into shape to avoid being the object of caricature and stupid stares in the room.

I know - you are like - you said the same thing last time as well. -Yeah -but this time I have to do it and have decided to conduct this as a social experiment - I will my daily routine, exercise patterns as well as the results I achieve. Hopefully the fact that I am being publicly tracked (or the fear of it) will allow me to cut through the motivation crap and see the program through to the end. Even if no one reads or comments on the blog entries - I still will have the fear at the back of mind - maybe someone thinks I am a loser cause I dropped out in the middle. And how I
hate that!

So - here it is. After having research tons of sites here, here and here - and running through all the fad diets - GM, Southbeach, Protien, I have decided to take the only way - the hard way of diet control and regular exercise. I have a gym and golf membership at Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida and will be using a mix of all facilities in my routine. My aim is to loose 15 Kgs in 45 days - that's the AIM and I am shooting for it.

This is not a guide for people on how to lose weight - heck, I don't even know if this is going to be completed or not. This is just a self motivation experiment to keep myself from losing focus and seeing it through.

There will be the following in each entry:

1. Daily Diet Logs - what I eat and at what time. when I cheat and what do I cheat with, what am I craving for etc etc - you get the point. Nothing will be omitted so that I can read through it the next day and know what I did right and what Idid wrong the previous day.

2. Daily Exercise Logs - What exercises I did, the machines used, the durations, sets, for the day, mid day exercises, rounds of golf played - everything again.

3. My Research summary - given that I will be researching a lot of data to get through this fast - this will be a summary of anything interesting I come across. This is more for personal reference purpose rather than being an exhaustive encyclopedia on anything weight loss.

Here is wishing myself the very best- and saying to myself - "YOU BETTER NOT FAIL THIS TIME!!! OR ELSE!!!!"
